Hello, this is Takano from AMONG.
In April, some of you may have started a new life, such as enrolling yourself or your child in school, getting a job, or transferring.
At AMONG, Kaneko has been slowly returning to work since April after taking maternity and childcare leave for about a year and a half!
When I asked her about her life during childcare leave, she said that her perspective on things has changed considerably since she became a mother. So today, we interviewed Kaneko, who has become a mother (not a mother character), about her life with a baby during maternity and childcare leave!
Takano: “Welcome back!”
Kaneko: "I'm home! Every day is frantic, but it goes by in the blink of an eye! I'm constantly amazed at how quickly a 0-year-old grows! Humans are amazing..."
Takano: “What are kids like these days?”
Kaneko: "He's almost 1 year old, and he started nursery school this April. He's currently in the middle of getting used to it. He's only going to be picked up in about 2 hours, so I'm waiting for him!"
Takano: ``Adjustment daycare is a drastic change in the rhythm of daily life, so it's hard for both parents and children to get used to it.''
Kaneko: "That's right. I was exhausted from the pick-up and drop-off... cycling with 9 kg on my back was quite strenuous. Change is difficult for both adults and children! Doing something you've never done before consumes energy. !Maybe my son gets tired, but he's more clingy than ever and it's cute (lol).
Takano: “Are you planning on releasing new baby items inspired by your life during childcare leave?”
Kaneko: ``Yes! That's what I've been hinting at ♪ We're currently preparing ~ Soon!''
Takano: “Do you use AMONG items while raising children?”
Kaneko: “I use them! The ones I love the most are the mini shoulder bag and the largest L size tote bag.
Mini Shoulder is ``I want to open my arms and do my best at the hotel breakfast buffet!'' It was born out of a gluttonous idea, but it's also convenient when you're holding your child in front of you! When I usually go shopping, I go out with a mini shoulder bag and an eco bag. I really use it every day (lol). ”
Takano: “The mini shoulder bag is very useful in my daily life!It has a larger capacity than it looks, and can fit a long wallet, hand towel, small pouch, and cell phone.It can be used at the park with the kids, at the supermarket, for a little while, etc. It’s highly versatile!”
Kaneko: "Oh yeah, it fits quite a lot! Since the strap can be removed, I think I'll get another one just for the body part. No, I think it'll be a pain to replace it in the end, so I think I'll get one with a strap... Mumbling (lol)"

Kaneko: “My L-sized tote bag can fit a lot , so even when I was carrying around a milk set, I had 3.4 water bottles in it.Hot water, cold water, my own tea...I get really thirsty when I'm breastfeeding. That's right! I didn't know that!
Things I usually keep in it include a diaper set, toys, milk and baby food, a change of clothes, and a vest and stole for body temperature regulation (convenient for both children and adults!). It's convenient to hang it on the back of your stroller so you can quickly grab whatever you want. ”

Takano: “The L tote definitely holds a lot of stuff! I wanted to use it as a mother’s bag too…! Even after the baby grows up, I can put my personal computer in it and go to work, or take yoga lessons, etc. You can use it for many things, such as shopping at the supermarket.”
Kaneko: ``Well, it's not a special mother's bag, but the amount of luggage you carry will change as your child grows.I recommend it because even if your child's luggage decreases, you can still use it for yourself!''
Takano: “Thank you for introducing me to the items you love while raising children!”
Kaneko: “Okay! It’s been a while!”
