Hello from Bali! This is Kurisawa.
That's right, let's send airmail to customers who purchase from our online shop!
We live in the age of LINE and email. I want to try sending a handwritten letter by airmail, and I think it would be exciting to receive a letter filled with the atmosphere of Bali.
Let's give it a try!!
So, first I went out into the city to look for postcards.
It's hot. The temperature is 30 degrees!
It's truly an island of perpetual summer. The sunlight is so strong that you can't let go of an umbrella when walking. No one here uses one, but I do!

AMONG umbrellas brought the "shade" fruit of bananas .
The umbrellas are also dyed by hand. Enjoy the original textiles and craftsmanship.
We are about to enter the rainy season, so an umbrella (and raincoat) is a must. The rainy season is hotter than the dry season, and there are heavy downpours.
By the way, when it rains the internet connection suddenly becomes (even more) slow. Ugh!
Hmm, but surprisingly there aren't many nice cards for sale. There are cards with the usual photo with "BALI" written on them, but I wonder if there are any others.
I found a great card set at the bookstore, so I decided to start with that. Look forward to it!
Of course, I think these classic cards are fun too!
There is a post office close to where I am staying now.
It's a very simple place, I should say...the only thing that identifies it as a post office is the banner, but I guess that's how it is!
Me (hereafter ๐ฐ): "Hello~"
Oh, there's no one here?
I decided to go inside and saw someone sleeping on their back on a bench in the back yard.
๐ฐ"Hello~~!!"
Even when I called out to him loudly, he showed no signs of waking up.
In one corner of this post office, there is a workshop where you can make silver accessories. There was a man from a silver shop there, so I asked him about it.
๐ฐ "Is that the post office guy?"
Silver Brother: "Ah, yeah. Hey!"
They called out to him by name, but he still showed no signs of waking up!
Silver Brother: "You're asleep~"
He looked like he couldn't help it.
I thought to myself, "Why don't you wake me up?", but it was around 1pm so maybe it was lunchtime? (But I overslept!) So I decided to eat lunch and then come back.
The hat is also great for everyday use. It's light and easy to use!
After finishing lunch and taking a break, I went back to the post office. It was 3:30pm.
Oh, the guy from before is awake!! (I found him lying down in the back yard after going in without permission.)
๐ฐ"I want to send this!"
Post-brother: "Ah, today ends at 3pm. Did you know there's a post office in the center? It's open until 5pm. But it's closed tomorrow because it's Sunday.
Yeah~~~!!
I was going to say, "You can't let me out because you were asleep." but... I gave up. I could just imagine it ending with "Ahhh (flat)"...
I know where the post office is in the center, but even if I go now, I'm sure the shipping timing will be the same.
๐ฐ"Okay, I'll come back here on Monday! How much is each?"
Post-brother: "It's Rp. 10,000 (10,000 rupiah)!"
๐ฐ"Yes!"
...
Then on Monday, I grabbed the letter and headed to the post office!
๐ฐ"Hello~!"
Silver: "Oh, the post office staff hasn't come yet today."
What? It hasn't arrived yet... it's 2pm now?!
But telling Silver-san won't get me anywhere. I'll give up and go to the center...
Along the way, I grumbled to my husband, Shopee.
๐ฐ "Hey, hey, what kind of work is it? Like an employee? Or hourly wage?! Surely it's not commission-based?!"
Shopee: "..."
The truth remains a mystery.
Well, I arrived safely at the center's post office.

See, this really looks like a post office! Yay, I can finally send something out!!
Stamps like these. So cute!!
Post-brother: "It's Rp. 20,000 per letter. It's in an envelope, not a card!"
Oh, that's right. I heard that each card and envelope cost Rp10,000. Maybe I was wrong...
For now, I paid Rp. 20,000 per letter and had two Rp. 5,000 stamps affixed to it. (I didn't question this at all.)
๐ฐIf you say, "Can I take a picture of the stamp? It's so nice!"
Post-brother said, "I'll give you one!"
Oh!?
Well, I do feel happy. But I can't help but worry about stamps being gift certificates, so is that okay?! But I got them anyway.
On another day, I went to the post office again (I won't be going to the local post office anymore lol).
Postman 2 says, "One letter is Rp. 15,000," and has three Rp. 5,000 stamps attached.
Oh, there were only two stamps on it the other day.
๐ฐ"Eh, no, I only got two stamps the other day???"
Post Brother 2: "Okay. Then that's fine."
๐ฐ โ?????????โ
Eh, what do you mean, that's fine? What does that mean? My brain is in complete confusion!!
There were already three stamps (Rp.5,000 x 3) attached, but I decided to pay for two (=Rp.10,000).
The other day I paid Rp. 20,000 per letter.
In fact, there were only two Rp.5,000 stamps on it, so why did I pay Rp.20,000? So the actual shipping cost was Rp.10,000, as I was told at the beginning?
Umm... yes, this is Bali.
After looking into it, it seems that the price starts from Rp. 8,000 depending on the weight, but since I didn't measure the weight (they don't measure it anyway), it may be that they just judge it by appearance.
Or maybe the post office is no exception, since there are local and foreign prices (let's just say that).
A wonderful bookstore right in front of the post office. The exterior is super cute! I bought some original envelopes here.
The password is tidak apa-apa "Tiddaaapapa."
(It's okay, it's fine, something like that in Indonesian)
The mini shoulder bag can also hold a folding umbrella.
Use it as an accent color (and pattern!) for a classic basic outfit such as a plain, simple cut-and-sew top and pants. Each piece is an original with a different pattern, so you can instantly create a stylish look full of originality!
It can hold things like this! Perfect for a light stroll around town.
So, despite the storm of questions raging, we managed to ship the item safely (I think).
If you receive it, please let us know ๐ต
We hope you enjoy the bold packaging and stamp affixing methods, which are full of things to point out.
Well then! (Kurisawa)
