Until the atelier coat is made

This spring, AMONG's first coat was completed.
We will reveal everything that goes into it until it takes shape!

It all started with the NHK program “Colorful Witches”.
I wonder if anyone has seen it.

It's really charming and wonderful to see the author Eiko Kadono wearing a colorful and fun atelier coat as her work outfit! Mr. Kadono is also the original author of the Ghibli film ``Kiki's Delivery Service'' directed by Hayao Miyazaki. A masterpiece...

Inspired by people enjoying their daily lives with their favorite colorful clothes and glasses, I wanted to create an atelier coat using AMONG textiles!

I thought.

Thin blue "Spice" pattern ⬆️ Roll up the sleeves a little to make it lighter.

When I looked around while planning, I noticed that most of these kinds of jackets were plain.
There are various materials such as cotton, linen, and wool-like materials, but basic navy, gray, and camel...

I'm sure it's safe and easy to use, but... it's kind of boring!

Clothes with fun colors and patterns and lots of fabric are hard to come by (because it takes courage to make them!). That's why I made it.

The "kanna" pattern on the left of the photo (height 158cm) is gray , and the one on the right (height 159cm) is yellow.

This yellow makes your expression shine. It's a sunny color that you won't feel depressed while wearing this color. Please try it.

Message: Wearing the canna pattern, which is full of vitality, is the beginning of a new journey. Let's move in the direction of warm, bright light.

The sample was completed in December of last year. Once I have decided on the shape and had the pattern made, I will have them sew it to see if it looks good. Try it on and let me know what you need to fix. There are various processes unique to clothing!

At the same time, I was looking for a place to sew. Depending on what I am making, I look for a sewing machine that is good at it, but it was quite a hassle.

(By the way, at this point, I had started dyeing the mochiron fabric, so it is important to know if it will be completed in time for spring.)

This is a company in Tokyo that sews wonderful and wonderful clothes. I visited after being introduced to you (thank you!).

They sew high-quality clothes from famous shops and up-and-coming designer brands (I wanted to try using up-and-coming designers ^ ^). I got a glimpse of amazing technology.

However, if you think about it, the selling price will be at least 70,000 yen. I thought that was really difficult, so I decided to try something else.

In the end, I was able to request Elegance 's workshop. After getting to know him in my private life, I even had him make uniforms for my previous restaurant. I have endless respect for his passion for manufacturing and his sincere attitude toward work.

If you are looking for a cute apron, check it out!

Despite my extremely busy schedule, he managed to make adjustments and offered me the last-minute price, so we were able to move forward.

As for sewing, after gaining experience as a craftsman at my favorite brand 〇〇, I started sewing Elegance's aprons (famous for their 3D cutting and beautiful cutting!), so I can only say that they are beautiful.

The length is also good, reaching just below the calf.
The one on the left is a "canna" pattern with many gray flowers . The one on the right is a light blue “Spice” pattern.

If you close the button, it looks like a dress. If you wear a thin down jacket, liner, or sweater when it's still chilly, you'll be fine even in the deep fall or the beginning of spring.

You can definitely wear it over a T-shirt at this time of year.

The one on the left is a "Spice" pattern on a light blue background , and the one on the right is a "Canna" pattern with lots of gray flowers .

It has a nice firmness and thickness, and customers who see it say, ``It's sturdy!'' It feels like a spring coat material rather than a shirt material. Therefore, it can be used for a long time.

The material is 95% cotton and 5% polyurethane, and has just the right amount of stretch for ease of movement. Comfortable around the shoulders too.
Just a small amount of polyurethane makes it hard to wrinkle and easy to remove.

If you get wrinkles, use a mist to give it a fresh look, then gently pat it with your hand and it will look clean once it dries. (Please use this technique on stoles and scarves as well!)

The large pockets are very convenient and cannot be removed, so I put them on both sides.
The buttons are matte white shell buttons. Since the textile is the main focus, I don't want the buttons to stand out. It's just right that it doesn't shine strangely.

This blue-based "spice" pattern ( for those with a lot of light blue motifs) gives a gentle impression.

I want you to wear it for a long time and enjoy the wear and tear that comes out little by little as you wash it or get sunburned.

I hesitate to buy online! I don't know what color to choose! That's right... I understand... I'm nodding my head as I write this.

It is one size fits all and has an exquisite size and silhouette that suits many people!

An atelier coat made with unique fun patterns and bright colors.
I hope it becomes one of your favorites! (Nakamura)

夫と住宅型ホームに入居して1週間、毎日泣いていたけど友人がシェアしてくれたアトリエコートの記事に何だか心がパッと明るくなりました。ミシンも置いてきて、もともと作れないけど、来てみたいなあと思いました。
