Collection: strata

I have a chance to visit the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture many times.
Izu is also known for its unique geological formations.

As I looked at the strata, I noticed that small stone grains were constantly layered on top of each other, giving me a sense of the present.

“Those of us who live today are just a small part of the big flow.”
"It's so small that it looks like dust, but it's definitely part of the whole. We're all creating the era!"

While I was thinking about this, I started wanting to see fossils and went to a museum.

I thought ammonites were about the size of a palm, but there are also some that are huge (well over 1 meter long...).

“It would be pretty scary if that thing came towards me!”
If you imagine it in real life, you will take a delusional trip to the ancient times.

I tend to get caught up in what's right in front of me every day, but I feel relieved when I feel like I'm being utilized in the larger flow of time.

The strata pattern was created with the hope of allowing you to feel the majestic flow of time.
