It's raining, so today I'd like to feature a "fish out of water."
Kaneko was born on a sailing trip he took to Hachijojima when he lived on Hachijojima in Tokyo (Kaneko lived on Hachijojima for about 2 years, about 5 years ago now).
My friend S, a fisherman who lives on Hachijojima, put me on a fishing boat and took me out to sea. How nice~! I haven't gone! Fishing boats are the best!
There are a lot of flying fish in that area, and when a ship passes by, you can clearly see them flying around the ship. Apparently they fly to avoid being eaten by larger fish (haha!). Flying fish really fly! It flies like crazy. (It seems to fly 100 to 300 meters! Huh!)
This is what it looked like when I went to Ogasawara. I never got tired of looking at the endless ocean and flying fish from the boat. There are also dolphins. The color of the sea is deep blue.
When I look at the waves that keep moving, I feel that the shape of the waves will never be the same twice, and that time is passing moment by moment. My eyes can't speak.
The fish, the sea, the waves, and the light reflected there were all so impressive that ``Fish in the Water'' was born.
