It was exactly 5 years ago this summer. At the time, Kaneko was living on Hachijojima in Tokyo. I want to spend the summer on Hachijojima! So I decided to live in a house about 10 seconds walk from the house where Kaneko lived. Ah, the sky and the sea are so beautiful... 
On the first floor of the small hotel "Mantenbo" on Hachijojima, we have opened a salon and shop where you can enjoy massages called "Lomilomi" by therapists like T-chan who live on the island, candles made by M-san, and AMONG! It looks like this (it only opened this year)!

Summer is the busiest season on Hachijojima, where tourism is the main industry. At the time, Kaneko was working part-time at a pizza shop that was very popular on the island, and I also jumped on the bandwagon.

Canna was planted in the vast garden (now the grounds!) of this restaurant. The owner apparently planted it because he liked it. This leaf vein is also wonderful. Fall in love with the colors that look like they were drawn with crayons.
