I arrived in Bali on October 10th! Wow, I really came.
After the pop-up stall at the department store came to an end, we had to rush to prepare for the move and complete various paperwork before leaving, so it was a hectic time (it was a miracle we made it in time!).
It's been about a week since I arrived, but I'm still surprised every morning when I wake up and think, "Where is that?! Ah, I'm in Bali!!"
What you feel now, what you see now, belongs only to you now.
Once you get used to it, everything becomes normal and you no longer feel the shock and excitement of "Whaaaat?" or "Oh, man (irritation)!".
So I thought I'd write about it now! I'd be happy if you could experience it with me, or if it could be a reference for someone in the future.
Now, here we are as we departed from Narita Airport.
Two 160-size cardboard boxes, one large suitcase, one medium-sized suitcase...and a piano.
Yes, I actually brought a piano (just for fun) (lol). It doesn't have legs, but it's really big and heavy, so it was really hard work.
I had other luggage and had applied for the weight limit in advance, but it wasn't enough. I had to pay the extra fee at the airport.
This time, I flew with Cebu Pacific Air. My visa was checked at the counter, and that was the most nerve-wracking moment.
Transiting in Manila in the middle of the night. It was crazy.
However, this time I had a lot of luggage. I wanted to leave Japan and arrive at my destination during daylight hours, so that's how it turned out.
This shoulder bag was a big help on the plane. This one is in the "Kanna" color pattern, but there are many other patterns available.
Many customers who have purchased it have told us how easy it is to use .
I put things like this in my bag when I'm walking around town. It's compact but has a large capacity, and it's a shoulder bag so it's light. It even fits in the narrow foot space on an airplane.
It holds a pouch , market bag , folding umbrella , water bottle, cell phone, sunglasses, wallet, and hardcover book.
I recommend it for commuting and it's definitely good for cyclists too. Please give it a try!
Thus, in the morning of October 10th, I somehow managed to arrive safely at Bali International Airport! I was prepared to wait 2 hours because there is always a long line at immigration, but this time it took less than 15 minutes. I think it was because the type of visa I got was different from usual. So fast!
My luggage arrived safely! I'm glad!
In addition, the documents required at the airport were all registered in advance, so the process was very smooth. If you are planning to visit, I recommend you refer to the following : Consulate General of Japan in Denpasar
I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel because I had a lot of luggage. I made sure to check the going rate and negotiate the price in advance.
That's a lot of luggage! You managed to load it all in. Thank you, driver!
So I went straight to my accommodation. I booked my accommodation through Airbnb. I expected it to be different from the photos, but it was different after all.
●There was no guest room in the room (although the photo looked like there were two rooms)
●There was a kitchen, but it was shared with the landlord, so it was quite chaotic. The inside of the refrigerator was also chaotic. I was told that I could use it, but the pots and pans were in a state of chaos.
●Hot water from the shower → I thought, "Oh, it's not coming out," but then I discovered that the faucet color (the blue⇄red one) and the hot water⇄cold water were actually reversed.
●The smell coming from the shower drain is really bad (to put it simply, it smells like sewage. For some reason it only happens at night...) → I've made it a little better by using a foot mat and covering it with a plastic bottle filled with water.
There is a cute kitty.
There are many other things I could point out, but well, the room locks properly, the air conditioner works, the landlord's family is kind, and I can sleep like crazy every day, so I'll call it a good thing!
By the way, my husband, Shopee, has had a back sprain since we moved. When we get to Bali, the first thing he needs to do is to rest up! It must be a command from heaven to take it easy and relax.
Thanks to this, I am slowly getting used to the new environment by walking around the neighborhood to buy the water and food I need, and eating at warungs (restaurants).
⬆︎ A dish called "Gado-gado." Steamed vegetables, tempeh, fried tofu, etc. are dipped in a spicy sauce. It's delicious.
(Then, at the perfect time, I was told about a great clinic. Thanks to them, my condition improved dramatically. I'll write more about it later!)
First of all, we would like to inform you that we have safely left Japan and arrived in Bali!
The AMONG online store is still open. If you purchase something while you're in Bali, we'll send you an airmail from there!
We will try various things, so we are waiting for your orders 🎶 Well, I will report back! (Kurisawa)
