Happy new year
The New Year in Bali started with spectacular fireworks and firecrackers that lasted until midnight.
It was rising from all angles, 360 degrees!
Local people were setting off fireworks and firecrackers everywhere on the streets, and larger fireworks were going off one after another at the hotel. It was a very spirited New Year! I imagine it must have been amazing to see the island from above.
Although Ubud, where they were staying, was supposed to be a quiet area, Shopee said the noise still didn't stop, even at 2am.
I quickly put on earplugs and went to sleep zzz
When the new year came, the town had the same atmosphere as usual. Since the new year had not yet started according to the Balinese calendar, there was no particular New Year's mood.

As usual I was wearing short sleeves so it didn't feel like New Year's at all, but I did get some zoni!

It really hits home!!
To be honest, I don't really like osechi in Japan, but the osechi I had in Bali was deeply filled with the delicious flavor of the dashi stock.
By the way, on New Year's Eve, I had toshikoshi soba at the same warung. I found out about it on social media and went there to eat.
It's been a while since I had soba! It's delicious!
In this way, I felt satisfied with the new year atmosphere after the New Year.
By the way, with the start of a new year, I like to think about goals or aspirations.

That's right, let's try drawing an AMONG word card! It's a substitute for the traditional New Year's first shrine visit and fortune telling.
I didn't bring the card with me, so I closed my eyes and clicked on the folder where it was saved.

This is something I've been thinking about for a while now. I want to broaden (deepen) the scope of what I can propose. I can't say yet when or how I'll be able to put it into shape, but I've been thinking about it for a while.
Word cards are amazing!
