「ひとつぶどう?」誕生秘話

“Hitotsu Grape?” The secret story of its birth

That was one day two years ago. ``With a grape pattern, how about one grape?'' '' said H-chan.

H-chan looks good in the mask !

I thought, "Oh! That's what I wanted to say! It's perfect for the age of sharing!" So, unexpectedly (?!) I was hired, lol, and planning began in earnest. In AMONG's projects, sometimes the textile motif is decided based on something like this: ``I want to say that!''

The first thing I do when designing is to observe the motif. "Okay, let's go grape picking!"

The time is the end of September 2020. Grapes have a strong image of being an autumn fruit, but at that time the grape picking season in the Kanto area was almost over. I hurriedly searched everywhere and found this.

I visited Benkei Orchard, a vineyard in Shonandai!

After getting off the station and driving for about 10 minutes, you will find yourself in a vast farmland. There were ponies and goats, and it was a very peaceful landscape.

At this vineyard, the grapes are grown with the branches stretched high. It seems that the empty space below is designed so that other work can be done. Therefore, when picking grapes, you either have to climb up a giant tripod or ladder to harvest them, or you can harvest them by riding in a vehicle like a crane truck.

Is it understandable~? ? This height! ! ! Just remembering it makes my heart flutter. Moreover, when it comes to harvesting grapes, you have to keep your hands off each other. Support the grapes with one hand and cut with scissors with the other!
I put the grapes and scissors in a basket hanging over my shoulder, and then get off. It's really scary.

Since I could only harvest one clump, I had them loaded onto a crane truck. It's like an attraction and it's fun. I moved up and down, picked some grapes, and finished.

sweet! The taste of grapes ripened on the tree was exceptional. We also took a lot of photos.

What the person on the right in the photo (Nakamura) is doing is rice! The scarf on the left in the photo (Kaneko) is a ``Peach Chestnut Three Years Persimmon Eight Years'' scarf and headband .

After that, I started working on the grape pattern again. The overlapping grape leaves are beautiful.
We discuss what we want it to look like and say, ``Oh, this is it'' as we shape it.

↑ I'm thinking about the balance by making the whelks look like cutouts.

Once you have the pattern, decide on the color. Then, we place an order with the dyeing factory and wait for delivery (I wrote it very roughly, haha!). Click here for more information on dyeing!

Everyone has been greatly affected by the major changes in the world that started in 2020. It still continues. Anxiety is inevitable when there are major changes. At times like these, I thought that there might be a trick that each of us can use to live a fulfilling life every day, and that's why I designed this book.

Side pocket tote arrived today!

By sharing something that you take for granted (food, information, ideas, etc.) and saying, ``I have something like this~'' or ``This is delicious~,'' the person offering the item will also ask, ``How do you like it?'' and ``Thank you.'' ” and the person receiving it will feel a little more happy and energetic. Sometimes it's enough just to ask someone, "How are you doing lately?"

Even when I don't get to meet people in real life, I realized that a small interaction with someone like that can really save me.
That's why "Hitotsubudo?" was born, and the name of this color is "Thank you"

↑ The white background and pink background are now ready. This is only the main body of the mini shoulder bag . You can also use it like a clutch bag.

When I realize that I have a lot of "something," I want to talk to someone who seems to need it and ask, "What do you think?"

Try saying “One grape?”! Oh, did you smile involuntarily? ? So how about making your first purchase in the new year, using it, and giving it as a gift? (Nakamura)
