I spent the New Year holidays at Ocean Resort Bondi in Shimoda.
This is the pension where I used to work part-time.
The top photo shows the first sunrise of the year from Kisami Ohama, which is located very close to the pension.
It's truly my favorite place whenever I go.
"I'm home~!"
Before we knew it, more than 20 years had passed since we first met, and our children, who were elementary school students at the time, were now fully grown adults.
It feels like we're relatives now.
We all gathered at the beginning of the year and spent the day visiting shrines, eating crab, and visiting hot springs.
Today, I would like to write about what I personally would like to accomplish through AMONG this year.
What I want to do in 2026 #1
"Moving and base building"
Ohhh, I finally wrote it!
This has been a central theme for me over the past few years.
I want to create a place where AMONG items are displayed and where people can experience the atmosphere and worldview.
While working there every day, I think about the manufacturing process and the things that are on my mind.
I desperately wanted a base from which to share my ideas!
The brand name AMONG is always a perfect choice.
Between the city and the suburbs, between the everyday and the extraordinary.
Between the customer and me, between other customers, or between the craftsman and the customer.
I think it also depends on different values and countries.
I would like to continue to connect these various gaps and build bridges.
Back to the topic of bases.
I would like to turn this place into an open studio for a few days a month so that people can come and visit.
We want to develop it into a "second home" where people can take a break, recharge, and then head out again.
I think if you relax, refresh, and recharge, you'll naturally be able to move forward again!
The specific location is where the antenna is highly praised.

In fact, I think AMONG's pop-up has already become such a place.
It's a place where customers can relax and unwind, excitedly exclaiming things like, "That's great!" and "That suits you!"
It's very common for customers who happen to be in the same place to start chatting with each other and serve each other.

I would like to be in a place where people can naturally connect with each other and relax through fabric, and I would like to create such a place.
What I want to do in 2026 #2
"We want to share AMONG's current status"
Through blogs , Instagram Live , and voice-only broadcasts , I would like to share more about the intermediate stages of creating things, what it's like when I make word cards, and even my messy mind.
Keep the temperature and air that are unique to that moment fresh.
If I try to do it properly, I get stuck, and it's difficult to get the message across because it's not organized! But right now, what I want to value more than that is a sense of presence.
The finished product is so prevalent in the world that there are times when you feel uneasy about it.
The fun part is the trial and error that goes into creating it.
That's why I want to communicate things that aren't easily put into words or that are not yet clear.
I think this will also lead to creating a place where people can relax and unwind.
Amangra Radio brings you the story of how textiles are made.
I'm thinking about whether YouTube would be good or something like a podcast, and I'd like to try broadcasting the process.
What I want to do in 2026 #3
"Build your body! Build muscle!"
Cut down on the muscles that will fall off if you leave them alone!
I would like to develop a gentle exercise habit, such as walking, Pilates, or swimming.
Stretching too!
But I always end up putting it off.
I think I'll start by making a muscle pattern (just kidding).
But the body is the foundation. It's like the base of a house. It's also said to be the container for the soul.
I want to carefully lay the foundations.

There are many other new works I want to create and things I want to create, but these three are at the core!
What they have in common is creating a place where they can release excess energy.
I tried to declare it.
I wonder what the scenery will be like at the end of 2026.
