What does AMONG sell?

Today I would like to write about the current status of AMONG's base plans.
If you're reading this for the first time, you might be wondering what I'm talking about, so let me explain a bit.
Currently, AMONG is aiming to establish a base of operations.
This April marks 12 years since the brand was launched!
In terms of the zodiac, this will mark a full cycle.
Most of the time, we've run our business through pop-up shops and online stores.
By the way, we opened a shop in Nakameguro for about eight months from the fall of 2016 to the following year.
We were only supposed to stay for a month, but the craftsman was extremely helpful (he delivered the table we ordered about 10 days after we met).
On top of that, they even provided a counter! Unbelievable! Tears!
Thank you so much for that. I can't sleep at night without thinking.
I am very grateful and have a lot of respect for you.
I am currently writing this on the single-piece table that was made for me at that time (the table in the center of this photo).
We felt it was a shame to move the beautiful fixtures, so we decided to extend the stay.
The location is now the Cafu Gallery in Nakameguro .
During that time, thanks to the existence of our store, we were able to open our first pop-up stores in department stores such as Isetan Shinjuku, Matsuya Ginza, and Yokohama Takashimaya.
(This year too We will be opening a store on the 1st floor of Matsuya Ginza from Wednesday, March 18th to Tuesday, March 24th . Coming soon! We look forward to seeing you!
It was difficult to open a department store and run the store at the same time, and we ended up closing after eight months, but I'm really glad that we took on that challenge.
This year marks the completion of a full cycle of the zodiac signs, AMONG.
Of course, a lot has happened during that time.
The biggest thing was that Kaneko will be graduating from AMONG at the end of 2022.
It's not easy to support AMONG alone, which we started as a joint venture and grew together, so looking back on 2023, I think it was all about determination and determination!
To put it in perspective, it's like sitting on the edge of a seesaw and then quickly moving to the support in the middle.
There were many things that I couldn't understand or feel until I was in that situation.
It pains me to think that some of our loyal customers must have felt sad and glad that it was just the two of them.
I was confused about how I should go about making things from now on.
To be honest, I felt a lot of loneliness.
I am so grateful to all my customers, friends, staff and Shopee who supported me through that time.

I was happy to be able to release a relaxed and airy textile featuring my favorite banana leaves.
This made me realize once again how much we thrive thanks to our relationships, connections, and connections with other people.
(As an aside, I thought I'd write this at this particular time.
I cannot agree with the idea of "our country first." Our country exists because of other countries. Every country is immature and lacks in some areas, so I think we have no choice but to support each other and somehow get along. When we cannot come to an agreement, I think it is best to distance ourselves. I pray for peace as soon as possible.
Now, back to the base topic!
First of all, what does the brand AMONG sell?
So I went back to basics and thought about it.
Then, what always comes back to me is the message I affixed to the word card .
You'll have more time to laugh in your daily life,
Someone who has been running continuously might think, "I'll take a break today."
That feeling of relief when you look at the moon or the sun and think, "Ah, that's right," or "I am such a small being."
I want to celebrate these changes in feelings and realizations , and I hope to be a catalyst for them.
That's why we have AMONG.

We hold pop-ups in various places, and sometimes we get excited or depressed by the sales we see in front of us.
Product management, inspection, tagging, and various preparations.
I got totally immersed in that sort of thing,
"Why am I doing AMONG?"
To be honest, there are times when I almost lose sight of it.
But I always think back to the things I want to do and communicate through AMONG and what I've written on the word cards.
I want to create a place where people can experience that.
It's a place where you can come, have a cup of tea, relax, and unwind without being bound by your role as a mother or wife or whatever position you hold.
There is a place like that and friends there.
As we talk and listen to trivial things, something starts to fall into place.
Wrapping up all the good and bad things in humor,
"Well, whatever."
"Yes, this is it!"
This makes me feel lighter, makes me laugh, and gives me strength again.
AMONG will become a device that will remind you of that atmosphere more than ever before.
I want to create a place like that.
The word AMONG is an English preposition that means "between."
I personally think it's the perfect brand name.
Between on and off
Between you and me
Between the city and the countryside
Between the ordinary and the extraordinary
To shake.
Something in between.
That's AMONG.
Ah, but!
Nothing will begin until you actually decide, "This is it!"
While visiting various places,
Where is the location?
What's the floor plan?
How much is it?
And real estate prices are skyrocketing right now.
The boat is rocking back and forth, and I feel like I'm going to get seasick.
Flying fish were flying around alongside the boat we were on at Hachijojima.
This textile features a "fish in water" pattern, depicting the lively creature.
It's impossible to be perfect from the start!
Take a step beyond what you can do.
Try it lightly, but with determination.
This is where the AMONG base project is currently at.
But I will definitely make it, so please wait!
